Party and State leaders celebrate national unity day in Hanoi

On November 12, to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu attended and celebrated with the people of Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, in the National Great Unity Day.

Also attending were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai and leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi city and Ba Dinh district.

According to VNA, General Secretary To Lam warmly congratulated, commended and highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Hanoi in general and Ba Dinh district and Quan Thanh ward in particular over the past time.

The General Secretary emphasized that the strength of the great national unity bloc is always one of the most important and powerful resources for our entire Party, people and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully carry out the cause of innovation and national development in general and build a peaceful, cultural, civilized and modern capital in particular.

Our country has gathered all the necessary conditions and is facing a historic opportunity to enter a new era - the era of national development. To achieve that, the General Secretary suggested that the Party Committees and authorities at all levels of Hanoi continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint of "taking the people as the center and subject of all policies and strategies", "taking the happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for", improving the material and spiritual life of the people, ensuring that all people enjoy the fruits of innovation and development.

The General Secretary said that recently, the Politburo issued regulations and decisions on the consolidation of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, which added the tasks of the Steering Committee on preventing and combating waste. The General Secretary requested that localities, including Hanoi, need to make strong changes in the work of preventing and combating waste in the locality. Each citizen should strengthen the practice of thrift and combating waste, and at the same time actively participate in monitoring the practice of thrift and combating waste, promptly detecting and reporting to the authorities about wasteful acts for handling.

The General Secretary hopes that people will continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, promote the fine traditional cultural identity and the strength of national solidarity, and work together with local Party committees and authorities to strive to build Quan Thanh ward as well as all localities in Ba Dinh district and the entire city of Hanoi to become increasingly rich, civilized, and modern, worthy of the glorious tradition of the heroic district of the heroic capital, the cultural district of the civilized capital, and the peaceful district of the city for peace.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts to 17 party members with 70 years of Party membership or more who are active in the Quan Thanh Ward Party Committee.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to the Quan Thanh ward community and presented 22 gifts to congratulate couples who have lived happily together for over 50 years, and are typical cultural families in the area.

Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh presented gifts to 8 residential areas of Quan Thanh ward.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai presented gifts to the collective of Quan Thanh ward and representatives of outstanding families of Quan Thanh ward; Ba Dinh district also presented 5 gifts to outstanding families in the ward.

Quan Thanh is one of the typical units of Ba Dinh district and Hanoi capital implementing the construction of a model of urban civilized discipline associated with a typical and exemplary police force in terms of security, order and urban civilization; at the same time, it is a typical unit in building skillful mass mobilization models with more than 20 typical models, including departmental-level models such as the model of "Residential area of ​​solidarity, consensus, security, safety, prosperity, happiness," "Family of 3 haves, 3 know-hows in fire prevention and fighting," "House of Great Solidarity"...

In 2024, the rate of cultural families will reach 98.5%; 8/8 residential groups will achieve cultural residential groups. These models have significantly contributed to the completion of political tasks and goals set by the Central, city and district right from the grassroots level.
