Being a mountainous district with a majority of Thai and Muong ethnic groups living there, Lang Chanh district has been endowed by nature with many famous landscapes, festivals, traditional craft villages, and unique culinary culture. Promoting the above advantages, in recent years, Lang Chanh district has focused on exploiting traditional cultural values, associated with the development of community tourism and spiritual tourism, initially bringing about clear results.

Favored by nature, with fresh and cool climate conditions, with a system of terraced fields stretching like strings, musical notes, interwoven across the mountain slopes... along with the unique traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities, in recent times, Yen Thang commune has been focusing on developing community tourism, associating with preserving traditional cultural values. Striving to gradually turn tourism revenue into the main source of income for socio-economic development in the area, becoming an attractive destination for tourists in the future. To carry out the above tasks, the local government has focused on promoting people to preserve national cultural identity, restore and develop occupations, build brocade weaving and knitting clubs. Organize the restoration of folk songs and dances of the Thai people, such as: khap Thai, custom of making way, celebrating new rice... Repair and upgrade the system of traditional stilt houses, entertainment venues, check-in points, camping, resorts... At the same time, invest in building infrastructure, building tourist attractions to experience and explore terraced fields in Ngam Poc and Peo villages. Yen Thang commune strives to welcome about 10,000 tourists in 2024, including 200 international visitors.

With over 90% of the population being Thai and Muong ethnic groups, Lang Chanh district has its own advantages for developing community tourism. In recent years, the district has proposed many policies and solutions to promote traditional cultural values ​​to serve tourism development, creating a harmonious relationship between conservation and development, between economic growth and cultural, environmental and landscape goals. The Executive Committee of the Lang Chanh District Party Committee has issued a thematic resolution "Developing tourism associated with conservation and promotion of national cultural identity values, period 2021-2025, orientation to 2030". The goal by 2025 is to clearly form, diversify and enrich tourism products associated with local advantages, such as: eco-tourism, community tourism, spiritual tourism, resort tourism. Strive to make tourism a key economic sector by 2030, promote the development of industries, occupations and services; Lang Chanh tourism will gradually be in the top of mountainous districts in the province.

Currently, the district has been focusing on building new eco-tourism and community tourism spots in Ngam Poc village (Yen Thang commune); Ngay village (Lam Phu commune); Thung Bang tourist spot (Dong Luong commune); Thien Village tourist spot (former team 5, Tri Nang commune); Nang Cat village tourist spot; Le Loi temple tourist spot (Tri Nang commune)... in early spring and traditional festivals to serve the development of tourism products in the area. Along with that, organizing festivals: Chi Linh Son Festival at Ma Hao waterfall eco-tourism area, Nang Cat village (Tri Nang commune); Meo Pagoda Festival; Cha Mun Festival; Admiral Dai Luong Quan Cong Le Phuc Hoach Temple Festival; displaying and introducing traditional products. In addition, the district has increased investment in research and preservation of beautiful traditional cultural heritages, such as: Costumes, language, festivals, cuisine; Surveying, collecting and restoring folk art performances and traditional festivals of the Thai and Muong ethnic groups... has initially attracted a large number of tourists.

Promoting the exploitation of traditional cultural values ​​to develop community tourism in Lang Chanh district has contributed to socio-economic development and increased income for people.
