Since ancient times, our ancestors have said: "Leaving gold and silver is not as good as leaving books for children" to affirm the meaning and value of books. Reading helps people access knowledge, absorb the quintessence of humanity to perfect and develop themselves. Spreading the reading culture in schools not only helps students see the meaning and importance of reading but also helps open up new horizons.
In the past 5 years, the movement to renovate and build open libraries has spread throughout Vinh Phuc province. Thanks to private funding and budget investment, a number of new libraries have been invested in and built, designed scientifically and friendly. In particular, Lien Minh Primary School , Phuc Yen City, built both a library reading room and a green space library in the school yard, creating excitement for a large number of students, becoming a cultural highlight in school activities. Every day, the school library welcomes dozens of students thanks to the spacious, clean reading space, students can sit and read books anywhere.
In addition to building a green library space, an open library and a modern, friendly library reading room, at Lien Minh Primary School , there are also reading lessons that teachers devote a lot of effort to, creating attractive reading forms, creating excitement for students. Reading lessons not only meet learning efficiency but are truly lessons for students to relax and multiply their love of reading.
It can be affirmed that reading culture plays a very important role and brings many benefits, contributing to the development of society. Therefore, maintaining and developing reading culture is an inevitable requirement in the process of social development, especially in the current international integration. It is thought that each school will have different ways to develop reading culture. Each teacher will also have different methods to cultivate love for books in students, with the common goal of helping students love and appreciate books - the priceless treasure of knowledge of humanity.
