Lam Dong plans new residential area to soon construct highway

On the afternoon of August 1, the Bao Loc City Party Committee, Lam Dong Province, held the 27th City Party Executive Committee Conference. The conference unanimously approved the policy of establishing a new residential and resettlement area plan to accommodate migrants serving the expressway project.

The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project and the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway project are two of the national key projects.

The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong project passes through Bao Loc city and Bao Lam, Di Linh and Duc Trong districts. The project is expected to contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of Lam Dong province, while connecting the Central Highlands region with the Southeast provinces more conveniently.

Previously, the planning of residential and resettlement areas serving these two expressway projects located on Nguyen Thai Binh Street (Loc Phat Ward, Bao Loc City) is within the planning boundary for exploration, exploitation, processing and use of minerals in the period 2021 - 2030 with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.

The land overlaps with the mineral planning and has not been inspected, reviewed, and approved in writing by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Therefore, Bao Loc City authorities must search for and plan a residential area for resettlement in a new location, located on Ly Thuong Kiet Street (Loc Phat Ward). This land belongs to the land recovered by the Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company.

The new land area is about 23.1 hectares managed by the State. With the agreement in principle, Bao Loc City People's Committee will complete the documents, procedures and establish a detailed 1/500 planning according to regulations.

Thereby, Bao Loc City arranges resettlement land for households whose land is recovered to serve the expressway project in the coming time.
