Lai Chau starts construction to remove temporary and dilapidated houses

On April 1, Lai Chau Provincial Military Command held a groundbreaking ceremony to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Tran Thanh Binh, Deputy Political Commissar of Lai Chau Provincial Military Command and representatives of local Party committees and authorities.

Implementing the program, the Lai Chau Provincial Military Command has started to demolish the temporary house for the family of Giang A Phu, born in 1979 (Mong ethnic group), in Suoi Thau village, Sung Phai commune, Lai Chau city (Lai Chau province).

At the ceremony, Lai Chau Provincial Military Command presented a symbolic plaque (60 million VND) to support the construction of a house for Giang A Phu's family. In addition, the family contributed 20 million VND; officers and soldiers of Lai Chau Provincial Military Command, local Party committees and authorities, militia and self-defense forces and people supported the construction work. The house was built to ensure "3 hard" and is expected to be completed by the end of April 2025.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Colonel Tran Thanh Binh emphasized that this is an event of special significance, demonstrating the responsibility and morality of "Repaying gratitude", " Love others as you love yourself" of the officers and soldiers of Lai Chau Provincial Military Command, contributing to bringing a warm home of love to the poor and those in difficult circumstances, so that no one is left behind. In order for the house to be completed and put into use soon, the Deputy Political Commissar of Lai Chau Provincial Military Command requested the local Party Committee, authorities and people to actively support and share, to ensure the completion of the house on schedule and with quality.

It is known that in the coming time, the Lai Chau Provincial Military Command will continue to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to start construction and demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in assigned areas.
