Disciplinary action against former chairmen of Binh Duong, Long An and Ba Ria provinces

At the 42nd session, taking place from June 12 to 14, the Central Inspection Committee proposed to discipline a number of party members who violated regulations in the Party Committees of the provinces: Binh Dinh, Binh Duong, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

In particular, the Central Inspection Committee determined that Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kim, former Secretary of Vinh Thanh District Party Committee (Binh Dinh Province), had degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks.

This former leader also violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

Mr. Kim's violations caused very serious consequences, causing public outrage and negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and local government, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered.

The Central Inspection Committee also pointed out violations by officials including: Le Thanh Cung, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province; Tran Van Can, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province; Nguyen Van Trinh, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

These individuals, according to the Party's inspection agency, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties and tasks; in leading and directing the implementation of bid packages carried out by the International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC) and enterprises in the AIC ecosystem.

They were also determined to have violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the point of having to consider and handle disciplinary action.

Pursuant to Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to issue disciplinary warnings to Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Mr. Tran Van Can, and Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh.

This agency also requested competent authorities to consider and discipline Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kim.
