(NLDO) – The cold air continues to strengthen, causing severe cold to cover the entire North, with common temperatures ranging from 9-12 degrees Celsius, in some places below 3 degrees Celsius.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on the morning of January 12, a strong cold front had affected all provinces in the Central Central and South Central regions.

At Bach Long Vi station, there is strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7; Phu Quy station has strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 9; Truong Sa station has strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 8; Huyen Tran station has strong northeast wind level 7, gusting to level 9. The strong cold air continuously strengthens, causing the North and Thanh Hoa-Nghe An region to be very cold, especially in the mountainous and midland areas of the North.

In the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai, the weather is cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North and Thanh Hoa-Nghe An region is generally from 9-12 degrees, in the mountainous areas of the North it is 6-9 degrees, in the high mountainous areas it is below 3 degrees in some places.

Hanoi: Partly cloudy, no rain at night, sunny during the day. Northeast wind level 3; very cold. Lowest temperature 10-12 degrees. Highest temperature 18-20 degrees.

Ha Tinh-Quang Binh area commonly 13-16 degrees Celsius; area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai 15-18 degrees.
