State management of environmental protection in mineral exploitation activities in Long An province is effectively implemented by the relevant agencies. Environmental improvement and restoration in mineral exploitation activities is promoted and closely monitored.
In addition to approving plans for environmental improvement and restoration in mineral exploitation by units, inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of mineral mine closure by units after the mining license expires are regularly carried out.
The province also urged enterprises to make deposits for environmental rehabilitation. Up to now, Long An has more than 70 enterprises making deposits for environmental rehabilitation, the amount collected for the implementation of environmental rehabilitation and restoration deposits of mineral exploitation units in the province is more than 928 million VND.
