According to information from the Cau Giay District Police (Hanoi City Police), the unit has issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused to investigate the act of "Disturbing public order" against 6 teenagers driving motorbikes doing wheelies on many streets in Hanoi.
The prosecuted subjects include: D.QT (born 2003, residing in Duy Tien, Ha Nam), N.D.H. (born 2005, residing in Thanh Oai, Hanoi), NTAH (born 2001, residing in Thanh Oai, Hanoi), NTL (born 2005, residing in Thanh Tri, Hanoi), HPP (born 2005, residing in Thanh Tri, Hanoi) and LQH (born 2003, residing in Thanh Ha, Hai Duong).
According to the investigation agency's documents, at around 9:00 p.m. on June 1, HPP drove a car with license plate 29M1-886.XX with NTL driving a motorbike with license plate 29Y3-763.XX to My Dinh Stadium.
Here, NTAH rode a motorbike with license plate 29X7-392.XX and NHĐ rode a motorbike with license plate 29X7-660.XX to talk. About 5 minutes later, D.QT rode a motorbike without a license plate and met LQH who was drinking water with HAT.
Then the group drove their motorbikes in a zigzag, weaving pattern, and doing wheelies. While traveling from Le Quang Dao, Ho Tung Mau, Xuan Thuy to Nhat Tan Bridge, P. did wheelies 3 times. On Nhat Tan Bridge alone, P. continued to do wheelies 4 times and asked D. to use his phone to record them. Not only did they do wheelies, this group of teenagers also lay down on the seat to control their motorbikes, doing wheelies on multiple motorbikes in groups...
At 11:30 p.m. the same day, P. used his phone to post a clip of himself doing a wheelie on social media.
On the evening of June 2, Traffic Police Team No. 7 invited HPP to work and handed over the subject and the case file to the Investigation Police Agency of Cau Giay District Police for further investigation. From June 3 to 10, the subjects who participated with P. came to the Investigation Agency to surrender.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), in the first 5 months of 2023, the authorities handled 169 cases of illegal racing and public disorder. 2,836 subjects who swerved, drove in groups at high speed, and showed signs of illegal racing were handled. Local police prosecuted 11 cases and 68 subjects. Of which, there were 3 cases of organizing illegal racing, 1 case of illegal racing, and 5 cases of public disorder. |
