Constant selling pressure caused red to appear right from the opening of the first trading session of the week. Investors were still hesitant, causing both scores and liquidity to be sluggish.
Large-cap stocks were all dyed red, such as CTG, VIB, TPB, STB, TCB, HDB, etc. Only three stocks remained green, namely MWG, SAB, VIC, but they could not pull the index back up.
At the end of the morning session on April 1, VN-Index decreased by 7.29 points, equivalent to 0.57% to 1,276.8 points. The entire floor had 96 stocks increasing but 373 stocks decreasing.

Entering the afternoon session, buyers and sellers continuously struggled below the reference, however, VN-Index still maintained the 1,280 point mark.
At the end of the trading session on April 1, VN-Index decreased by 2.57 points, equivalent to 0.2% to 1,281.52 points. HNX-Index increased by 0.31 points to 242.9 points. UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.24 points to 91.33 points.
Red covers most banking stocks, notably STB, MBB, EIB, VPB, TOB, TCB, CTG, MSB, VIC, ACB,... Only 4 stocks kept green: VCB, SGB, TIN, SHB.
In the morning session, the stock group was quite negative when red dominated, but in the afternoon session, it recovered slightly, the positive gainers in the group were SSI, SHS, HCM, ORS, FTS, IVS, BSI, HAC. However, there were still a few losers such as VND, VCI, MBS, AGR, SBS, VDS, ...
The technology group had positive developments led by FPT, ELC, VGI, CMG, UN, SMT, VTK, especially ONE increased by 9.84%.

Foreign investors net sold for the 15th consecutive session with a value of 722.97 billion VND today, of which this group disbursed 1,999 billion VND and sold 2,722 billion VND.
