However, recently, authorities have continuously inspected and discovered a number of businesses, organizations and individuals producing, advertising and distributing many types of fake milk, fake medicine and fake health protection foods in a number of localities.

It is noteworthy that the production and trade of these counterfeit goods has lasted for many years, directly affecting people's health and lives.

In order to enhance the responsibility of relevant agencies in managing, supervising, promptly detecting, preventing and handling the production and trade of counterfeit goods, especially fake dairy products, fake medicines and fake health protection foods, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee 389, requested the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development to closely follow developments in the domestic market and coordinate closely with local authorities to ensure market stability and supply and demand of goods.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development directed market management forces to strengthen inspection and control, promptly detect, prevent, and strictly handle acts of production and trading of fake food, fake milk, and fake medicine.

The Minister of Industry and Trade also requested the People's Committees of localities to closely follow market developments, promptly synthesize and report on fluctuations in the market of essential goods to serve production, business and people's lives, especially those that directly affect people's health.

Continue to direct competent authorities to urgently review and inspect the law compliance of drug and health food businesses in the area, recall detected counterfeit drugs and health food, and strictly handle violations in accordance with regulations.

Strengthen inspection and supervision of food security and safety work; resolutely combat, prevent and strictly handle organizations, individuals, production and business establishments that violate food safety regulations.

Promote the role of authorities at all levels, management agencies, social organizations and consumer supervision in compliance with food safety laws for individuals and food production and trading establishments.

At the same time, localities are required to step up propaganda,education , raise awareness, identify responsibilities and actions of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and people in ensuring food security and safety; promptly inform about safe, high-quality agricultural and food supply chains as well as establishments that violate and pose potential risks to food security and safety,...

The Minister of Industry and Trade also requested the Department of Industry and Trade of localities to direct the Market Management Department to focus on implementing local management work, regularly monitor and supervise the market to promptly detect unusual developments of goods circulating on the market, especially dairy products, medicines, health protection foods, especially at small retail channels, unofficial agents, e-commerce platforms and social networks.

Continue to proactively coordinate with local authorities to comprehensively review and inspect establishments producing and trading in dairy products, medicines, health protection foods, etc.
