In order for the mass cultural and artistic movement to be maintained and developed in depth, together with the proactiveness and flexibility of localities, in recent years, the Cultural - Cinema Center under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has played an important role in organizing teaching, exchange and promotion activities to arouse the mass cultural and artistic movement. From there, it has contributed to spreading the traditional cultural beauty of the homeland.

Comrade Cao Xuan Du - Director of the Center said: "Opening training and teaching classes to improve professional qualifications for cultural and artistic cores and folk song clubs is one of the basic tasks of the Center for Culture - Cinema.
In these classes, the Center's staff and artisans are responsible for teaching hundreds of students. With their enthusiasm and passion for the cultural heritage of their ancestors, the cultural staff in general and the Center's artists in particular have become active agents in preserving, teaching and disseminating folk songs and dances to the masses.
In order to promote the mass cultural and artistic movement, in 2024, the Center will preside over and coordinate with relevant units to successfully implement the art program to open the Hung Temple Festival and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of Giap Thin - 2024; participate in the art exchange program "Dien Bien Song" to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) organized by the Provincial Radio and Television Station, along with a number of art programs to celebrate holidays of sectors and localities in the province.
One of the Center's outstanding activities in 2024 is advising the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to successfully, safely and qualitatively organize the Phu Tho Mass Art and Folk Song Festival. 13 mass art troupes from 13 districts, cities and towns participated in the festival with more than 70 performances, attracting thousands of spectators and pilgrims to Hung Temple to watch, enjoy and cheer.
Along with that, the Center also coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize a training course on teaching Xoan singing for music teachers at secondary schools in the province; coordinated to provide professional guidance to establish 2 new "Xoan singing and Phu Tho folk song clubs" in Thanh Ba town, Thanh Ba district and Chuong Xa commune, Cam Khe district.
Tan Son district's mass art troupe participated in performing for tourists from all over the country on the occasion of Hung Temple Festival - Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2024.
Through organizing training courses, fostering, improving professional qualifications and Xoan singing and Phu Tho folk song festivals for Xoan singing and Phu Tho folk song clubs at the provincial level, it is an opportunity for the clubs to exchange and share experiences in activities and methods of preserving the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, at the same time building the clubs to become stronger and more in-depth in their activities.
In addition to organizing singing and dancing classes, the artists of the Center also actively promote folk culture by selecting ancient folk melodies of localities to perform in important events of the province, sectors and localities or in cultural and artistic exchange programs with many other provinces. Thereby, the melodies of Xoan, Gheo, Vi singing, Rang singing or gong performances... of ethnic groups in the Ancestral Land reach audiences across the country. The Center also edits and publishes propaganda documents providing professional guidance for the grassroots cultural institutions of each locality, organizes composition competitions, festivals, and mass art performances...
Paying attention to and promoting the mass cultural and artistic movement in localities, with the active contribution of the Cultural - Cinema Center, not only preserves and promotes traditional cultural and artistic values, enriches the spiritual life enjoyment needs of the people, but also helps people raise their awareness of their role in building cultural life at the grassroots level, creating motivation to promote the emulation movement in labor production, and strengthening national solidarity.
