Construction of houses for poor households in Tra Bong district started

(Baoquangngai.vn)- Quang Ngai Newspaper and BIDV Quang Ngai supported 70 million VND to build a new house for the family of Mrs. Ho Thi Xuan (74 years old) in Ca village, Tra Hiep commune (Tra Bong).

Responding to the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, on the afternoon of April 1, Quang Ngai Newspaper coordinated with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Quang Ngai Branch (BIDV Quang Ngai), Tra Bong district to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for Ms. Ho Thi Xuan's family.

Leaders of Quang Ngai Newspaper and BIDV Quang Ngai presented a symbolic board of support of 70 million VND to build a house for Ms. Ho Thi Xuan.

Ms. Xuan’s family is a poor, single-parent household. Over the past years, she has lived in an old, dilapidated house. With the support of 70 million VND from Quang Ngai Newspaper and BIDV Quang Ngai, Ms. Xuan has the motivation to build a new house to make life less difficult. On behalf of her family, Ms. Xuan thanked the sponsors and local authorities for their concern and support in helping her family build a new house.

Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc shared the difficulties of Ms. Xuan’s family. He hoped that the support money would help the family build a new house that is more spacious and solid than before.

Recently, in response to the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, Quang Ngai Newspaper has actively connected and mobilized businesses and units to join hands and support the construction of houses for poor and near-poor households.

From the sponsor’s support, the local government will assign organizations, unions, and village front committees to join hands to support the labor cost of building a house for Ms. Xuan. The house is expected to be completed and put into use after 30 days of construction.

In 2025, Quang Ngai Newspaper mobilized units, businesses, officials, civil servants and employees of the agency to support the construction of 10 houses for families with housing difficulties. This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Ba To Uprising; 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai Province Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025), towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
