Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Colonel Le Viet Dung, Head of Warehouse K602, affirmed that Warehouse K602 is a strategic defense reserve warehouse, established on March 26, 1965, during the fierce years of the resistance war against the US to save the country.

From the midst of war, officers and soldiers of Warehouse K602 have always excellently completed their assigned tasks, organized the reception, distribution, preservation and management of technical equipment and supplies, timely and accurate supply for all requests for repair, production of weapons and equipment and combat service; performed well the function of managing national reserve materials in national defense and materials serving the defense industry in response to the requirements of building and protecting the Fatherland.

Over 60 years of construction, striving and growing, generations of officers, employees and soldiers of Warehouse K602 have always been united, close-knit, dynamic, creative, maintaining stability and developing, and excellently completing all assigned tasks.

In particular, in recent years, the Party Committee and the command of Warehouse K602 have closely followed the political requirements and tasks, actively innovated the methods of sealing and preserving materials and finished products; carried out export, import, and distribution quickly, accurately, and promptly; kept all materials, weapons, and equipment absolutely safe; ensured good anti-theft, security, and fire and explosion prevention and control; proactively advised and proposed effective implementation of infrastructure upgrade projects, contributing significantly to improving the capacity to complete tasks in response to new requirements.

Over the past 60 years, generations of officers, employees and soldiers of Warehouse K602 have inherited and promoted the fine traditions of the Vietnam Military Industry, actively contributing to the overall achievements of the General Department of Defense Industry in the new period.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and Commander of the General Department of Defense Industry, Major General Le Quang Tuyen congratulated the outstanding achievements of Warehouse K602 in recent times.

To successfully complete the tasks in the coming time, Major General Le Quang Tuyen requested the Party Committee, commanders and all officers, employees and soldiers of Warehouse K602 to actively grasp and implement the above resolutions on continuing to build and develop the Defense Industry until 2030 and the following years; promote scientific research activities, promote technical innovation initiatives in receiving, preserving and distributing goods and materials; ensure absolute safety for people, materials and warehouses. Strengthen the training of revolutionary ethics, dedication, responsibility and integrity; professional qualifications, expertise and skills for the team of officers, employees and soldiers, ready to receive and excellently carry out all assigned tasks.

Along with careful preparation for the Party Congress of the Warehouse for the 2025-2030 term, the unit focuses on building a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary, typical", building a clean and strong Party committee and organization, strong and excellent mass organizations and Military Council; at the same time, promoting the Emulation Movement to Win, promoting and implementing well the democratic regulations at the grassroots level, building a high spirit of solidarity and unity throughout the unit.

On this occasion, Warehouse K602 was honored to receive the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal from the President for "Outstanding achievements in researching, managing, preserving and maintaining special materials and equipment, meeting the requirements of national reserves and the strategy of building and developing a modern, dual-use defense industry, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland".
