To do that, the most important factor is people, so journalists have been constantly cultivating, training, and improving their moral qualities, improving their political and professional qualities, staying close to reality and connecting with people's lives, reflecting the breath of life and touching the hearts of readers.

Opportunities and challenges
Currently, press agencies are facing many challenges of the times, from the explosion of information, the influence of social networks, digital media, digital platforms, if the press does not innovate in time, it will fall behind, and it will be difficult to maintain its role in guiding and orienting public opinion. Advantages and difficulties always go hand in hand, requiring innovation of press agencies, courage as well as the level and love for the profession of each journalist to be increasingly higher.
Theorist and critic Thy Lan, Vice President of Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Magazine, worries: Along with the explosion of information with many forms of media, the press is also becoming more modern but at the same time becoming more familiar and closer to everyone. However, with "freedom of speech" and freedom of image on social networks, the press needs to be a balance to guide public opinion so that they focus on correct information, "immune" to bad, toxic or distorted information, especially going against the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and the traditions, customs, and ethics of the Vietnamese people. Therefore, each journalist is first and foremost an official "channel" of information, taking culture as a measure in behavior, communication and reflecting issues of expertise and professionalism in their works.
Throughout the history of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, humanistic ideology has always been expressed. Therefore, journalistic culture needs to be respected to increase the humanity in each journalistic work. Journalists need to clearly define their responsibilities in preserving, conserving, and promoting the national cultural identity, lighting the fire of knowledge and compassion in social activities; promoting and spreading, responding to, and actively participating in emulation movements; building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, strongly arousing patriotism, national self-reliance and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country... at the same time creating journalistic products rich in culture, spreading good values, contributing to building people with personality and building a healthy cultural environment. Journalism is a job that requires talent and heart. Recently, some press agencies have been temporarily suspended, some officials and reporters have not properly understood the mission, position, role and responsibility of journalists, lacked self-cultivation and training, and followed a pragmatic, selfish and narrow-minded lifestyle. Fortunately, Thanh Hoa Press has minimized and promptly prevented these behaviors from breaking out. Therefore, press agencies and journalists have operated fairly and appropriately, creating a brand of Thanh Hoa province's press, trusted by the Party, government and people.
Promoting the role of local journalism
Proud to be a local Party newspaper with strong development, worthy of being the mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Hoa, in the development journey over the past 62 years, Thanh Hoa Newspaper has always received timely leadership and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors, people of all walks of life and readers. With the development direction set out, Thanh Hoa Newspaper is gradually building to become a multimedia press agency, taking print newspapers as the foundation and electronic newspapers as a breakthrough. Each Thanh Hoa journalist has been and is making efforts to contribute, devote themselves to building and developing the newspaper to increasingly meet the political tasks in each period, the trust and love of all walks of life, building the homeland of Thanh Hoa to be increasingly developed and prosperous.
Accompanying the development of Thanh Hoa homeland, together with the press agencies of the province, after 68 years of construction and development, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station is a press agency with an important role in informing and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, serving the cause of building the political system, developing the economy - society, consolidating national defense - security; meeting the needs of improving the people's knowledge, cultural and spiritual life of the people in the province. In order for the development of Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station to keep up with and meet the development of the province, the unit has always innovated and comprehensively upgraded its program content, human resources, operating methods, facilities, equipment, and technology, promptly responding to the digital transformation trend in the field of journalism, striving to become a press agency with great influence in the North Central region and the whole country, actively contributing to information and propaganda work, serving political tasks, promoting the image of Thanh Hoa in the period of integration and development.
Together with Thanh Hoa Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, in recent years, Thanh Van Nghe Magazine - the mouthpiece of Thanh Hoa Provincial Literature and Arts Association, has both performed political tasks (propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, fighting against distorted, erroneous, hostile viewpoints and arguments; protecting the Party's ideological foundation) and played a good role as a midwife for authors and literary and artistic works, as a nursery, discovering and nurturing many young writers to supplement the province's literary and artistic force. The magazine continues to inherit and promote the good values of previous generations, while constantly innovating, creating, improving efficiency in work as well as in life, contributing to the good results in the 50 years of establishment of Thanh Hoa Provincial Literature and Arts Association (1974 - 2024).
The press contributes to building a beautiful image of Thanh Hoa homeland
Assessing the role of press agencies and their contributions to the development of Thanh Hoa, comrade Dao Xuan Yen, member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, said: Over the years, press agencies, journalists and reporters have made efforts and responsibilities in providing timely, complete and comprehensive information and propaganda on the situation in the province, the country and the world, helping cadres, party members, the business community and people of all walks of life to promptly grasp and support the major policies of the Party, the State and the province. Thanh Hoa province always respects, acknowledges and highly appreciates the companionship and positive contributions of journalists and press agencies to the development process of the province and always pays special attention and shares in press activities. In the current context, press activities face many difficulties and challenges. Therefore, in the face of intertwined advantages, difficulties and challenges, along with the press nationwide, it requires press agencies, press staff and agencies directing, guiding and managing the press in the province to fully and seriously identify and promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations. At the same time, continue to make efforts, innovate, be creative and have higher determination to successfully complete tasks, actively contribute to encouraging cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province to successfully implement the province's political goals and tasks. Press agencies need to continue to closely follow the orientation, principles and purposes to better perform the task of informing and propagating political issues and events of the country and the province. The focus is on promoting the dissemination of the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; Resolution No. 58 of the Politburo on building and developing Thanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; promoting the image of Thanh Hoa land and people to domestic and international friends.
In 2024, the Vietnamese revolutionary press founded by the Party and Uncle Ho will be 99 years old (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024). This is an opportunity for each press agency and journalist to review the glorious tradition, great contributions, and noble mission of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the struggle for national independence, national reunification, and the construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland; Encourage, motivate, and pay tribute to generations of journalists and press agencies with outstanding achievements; Foster pride and educate love for the profession among journalists in the current period, contributing to realizing the goal of building a professional, humane, and modern press and media.
