The workshop was chaired by comrades: Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Xuan Ca - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.
Attending the workshop were leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; leaders and former leaders of the province through the periods; scientists, researchers; representatives of the family and clan of comrade Nguyen Trac.
In his opening speech, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Vo Xuan Ca said that the workshop aimed to honor and affirm the contributions of comrade Nguyen Trac to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the homeland of Quang Nam - Da Nang; at the same time, collect and supplement documents on the career and revolutionary activities of comrade Nguyen Trac as a basis to supplement and clarify the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Party Committee and the People of Quang Nam - Da Nang.
"The person who first established the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee"
At the workshop, leaders, delegates, and historical researchers presented papers, focusing on clarifying the revolutionary activities and contributions of comrade Nguyen Trac to the revolutionary cause, especially the re-establishment of the Quang Nam Provisional Provincial Party Committee and the restoration of the province's revolutionary movement in the years 1936 - 1939.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, during the dark years under the yoke of the colonial regime from 1930 to 1945, Da Nang City in particular and Quang Nam - Da Nang Province in general became the cradle of the Central Vietnam revolution, where the Central Region Party Committee was the base, the springboard, and the first place to sow the red seeds of national liberation.
In that process, comrade Nguyen Trac (alias Thieu) made important marks, especially in the period 1936 - 1939 (as Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, the period when the Da Nang Party cells belonged to the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee) and the uprising to seize power in 1945 (as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee).
Researcher Bui Xuan - former Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee presented historical data emphasizing the role of comrade Nguyen Trac in the people's livelihood - democracy movement 1936 - 1939.
Accordingly, at the end of 1936, comrade Nguyen Trac invited one comrade from each prefecture and district to a meeting at comrade Nguyen Ngoc Kinh's house in Tan Hanh village, now Hoa Phuoc commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city. The conference advocated developing the Party's strength and the strength of the masses, both secretly and openly, everywhere.
The conference decided to establish a provisional Provincial Party Committee consisting of 7 comrades, with comrade Nguyen Trac as Secretary. After the conference, the provisional Provincial Party Committee of Quang Nam established prefectural and district Party Committees; assigned provincial Party Committee members to be in charge of prefectural and district Party Committees, to lead the revolutionary movement in the locality together with the prefectural and district Party Committees.
Thus, for the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (including Da Nang) in the initial stage of implementing the strategic shift to the struggle for people's livelihood and democracy, comrade Nguyen Trac was the one who made the first contribution in re-establishing the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, restoring the district and prefectural Party Committees and reorganizing the activities of the Provincial Party Committee.

Presenting a paper on the activities and contributions of comrade Nguyen Trac at the Central Legal Committee from 1966 to 1979, Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Thi Hong Ha - Deputy Head of Department, Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Central Internal Affairs Committee said: "With a simple lifestyle and extraordinary intelligence, comrade Nguyen Trac always devoted himself to the Party and the people, but always clearly distinguished between public and private affairs, devoting all his time and enthusiasm to the Party, the Vietnamese revolution and the Party's internal affairs."
Recommendations, proposals...
At the workshop, representatives of Da Nang City leaders and comrade Nguyen Trac's family raised a number of related proposals and recommendations.
Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Chinh (son of comrade Nguyen Trac) requested researchers and relevant agencies to clarify the role of comrade Nguyen Trac during the period of seizing power in Da Nang (August 1945), specifically the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee; currently, the history of the provincial Party Committee has not mentioned this position.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Chinh also requested to clarify the period when comrade Nguyen Trac was in charge of the Director of the Central Judicial School, the first Legal Training Center of the socialist North.
Suggesting relevant agencies of Quang Nam hometown and Dien Ban town to pay attention and create favorable conditions to help the family build a memorial house for comrade Nguyen Trac, aiming to become a revolutionary historical relic in the hometown.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee proposed to continue to expand the naming of streets after Comrade Nguyen Trac in Quang Nam, Da Nang and other provinces and cities. At the same time, he proposed to name schools after Comrade Nguyen Trac in Dien Ban town (Quang Nam province) and Hoa Vang district (Da Nang city).
In addition, the authorities of the two localities need to coordinate to continue collecting, preserving, displaying and introducing documents and artifacts about comrade Nguyen Trac to educate about revolutionary traditions...
Concluding the workshop, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that through the workshop, additional documents were provided to clarify the life, career, and revolutionary activities full of enthusiasm and dynamism of comrade Nguyen Trac through the revolutionary periods with many working positions, as well as the noble qualities of a loyal revolutionary soldier, an excellent son of his homeland Quang Nam.
Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that new and arising issues related to the activities of comrade Nguyen Trac, after the workshop, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee will assign the Propaganda Department of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee to coordinate with the Propaganda Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee and relevant agencies to collect documents, research, and verify to have a basis to supplement and adjust the activities and contributions of comrade Nguyen Trac to the revolutionary cause of the Party and his homeland Quang Nam, Da Nang in historical works to ensure objectivity and science.
