Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Provincial People's Committee Chairman Le Van Dung and delegates burned incense to express gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Nguyen Trac to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party, the Vietnamese people and his homeland Quang Nam.
Comrade Nguyen Trac (alias Thieu), born on November 4, 1904, in Ha Thanh village, Ha Nong commune, Dien Ban district, now Ha Tay village, Dien Hoa commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province.
In 1930, he was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam at the Charner Company Branch. directly under the Saigon Provincial Party Committee with comrade Nguyen Thanh An as Secretary. With enthusiasm and revolutionary will, despite having experienced many positions and challenges, in any position, comrade Nguyen Trac always completed his tasks excellently.
At the end of 1937, he was honored to be elected as Deputy Secretary of the Central Region Party Committee, concurrently Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee in charge of the provinces from Da Nang onwards. During his time as the provisional Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, under the direct guidance of the Regional Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Trac and the Provincial Party Committee led many struggles that attracted the participation of many classes of people.
After the successful end of the resistance war against French colonialism, he was assigned by the Ministry of Justice as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Justice delegation to take over Hanoi. In January 1955, he became a Prosecutor of the Hanoi People's Court, then Director of the Criminal Department of the Ministry of Justice, in charge of the Party Delegation of the Ministry of Justice.
From May 1958 to October 1959, he held the position of Party Secretary, Deputy Minister of Justice; from 1960 to 1966, he was Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court. In April 1979, he retired, lived with his family in Hanoi and passed away on August 11, 1986.
For his great contributions and merits, he was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal, the First Class Independence Medal, the 40-year Party membership badge and many other noble awards. On March 29, 2013, the President posthumously awarded the Gold Star Medal to Comrade Nguyen Trac.
In a friendly conversation with the representative of comrade Nguyen Trac's family, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet informed about the plan to organize the program to celebrate the 120th anniversary of comrade Nguyen Trac's birth (November 4, 1904 - November 4, 2024), and at the same time sent an invitation to the family representative to attend the celebration.
The celebration program is scheduled to be held on the morning of November 4, 2024 at Hall No. 1 - Office of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province. After the celebration program ends, a scientific seminar will be held on "The life and revolutionary career of comrade Nguyen Trac".
