With careful and elaborate preparation by teachers and students, the youth unions brought a festival of experiences with many practical activities through cultural and artistic exchanges by recreating cultural spaces. Mong panpipe art; Phu Tho xoan singing, Tay ethnic Then singing, Thai ethnic xoe dance, Muong ethnic gong dance and material culture space displaying typical items of ethnic groups and books on Vietnamese folk culture.

At the festival, students participated in folk games such as tug of war, stick pushing, throwing con, throwing pao, bamboo jumping... exchanging culinary culture and introducing handicrafts with the theme "Fragrance of the highlands" . 32 Youth Union branches with 32 exhibition spaces to introduce products and regional specialties. Each class organizes an exhibition space to introduce handmade products and local specialties of students such as scarves, shirts, bags, brocade wallets, rattan and bamboo products... and specialty dishes, fruits...

Display space, introducing special products from different regions

At the exhibition space, students introduced traditional dishes of ethnic minorities such as: Honey, humpbacked banh chung, banh bo, chestnuts, banh khao, banh troi, Cao Bang black jelly; vermicelli, five-color sticky rice cake, Bac Kan peanut candy; Ham Yen oranges, dried bamboo shoots, Tuyen Quang gai cake, Hoa Binh len cake...

Student Ho Phuong, a Muong ethnic, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh shared: “I am very happy to participate in the "Colors of the Highlands" experience festival organized by the school. On this occasion, I was able to participate in activities and perform in the gong team. When performing in this activity, I was very proud to introduce the beauty of my ethnic culture to my friends, and this was also an opportunity for me to learn more about the cultural beauty of other ethnic groups. The activity is not only a place to exchange, buy and sell local products, but also helps us to be more aware of preserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values ​​of the ethnic community. Through that, we, the highland students, appreciate cultural values ​​more.”

Many local people visit and buy specialties.

The experiential activity created a forum for staff, teachers and students in the school to learn, exchange and share knowledge and understanding of the cultural identity of ethnic minorities, the beauty, uniqueness and distinctiveness in spiritual life as well as regional culinary culture, especially in the Northwest mountainous region. At the same time, it helped ethnic minority students develop their strengths and perfect their life skills in the new era.

Teachers and students exchange art

Ms. Ho Thi Bich Thuy - Vice Principal of the Central Ethnic University Preparatory School said that this is an annual activity of the school to realize the innovation of education and training according to Resolution No. 29 - NQ/TW of the Central Conference and approach the new general education program. Through activities to form and develop students' capacity, educate them about preserving and promoting national cultural identity as well as fostering and practicing life skills for students to suit the orientation of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training.
