On October 1, at Gia Vien District Medical Center, Gia Vien District People's Committee coordinated with Gia Vien Association in Hanoi, Ninh Binh Doctors Club and friends in Hanoi, Viettinbank Ninh Binh branch, Agribank Ninh Binh branch to organize a program to examine and provide free medicine for people with meritorious services and people in especially difficult circumstances.
At the same time, implement the opening of accounts and issue free ATM cards for subjects in Gia Vien district on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the International Day of Older Persons (October 1, 1991 - October 1, 2023) and respond to the National Digital Transformation Day in 2023.
At the program, free medical examination and medicine were provided to about 900 meritorious people and people in especially difficult circumstances in 7 communes and towns: Gia Phu, Gia Thinh, Gia Vuong, Gia Phong, Gia Hung, Lien Son, and Me Town.
The beneficiaries and those in especially difficult circumstances were examined by a team of highly qualified doctors from the Ninh Binh Medical Club in Hanoi and their friends for internal and general examinations; external examinations; ear, nose, and throat examinations; and paraclinical examinations (ultrasound, electrocardiogram, X-ray).
In addition, the Ninh Binh Medical Club and friends in Hanoi visited, examined and provided free medicine to 6 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the district.

At the same time, the Delegation set up 2 booths to open online bank accounts (free of charge) for subjects participating in medical examination and free medicine distribution (when needed) from the Agricultural Bank and Vietinbank system; after opening an account, the responsible units will send ATM cards to the subjects opening the account and provide instructions on how to use it, ensuring convenience for the subjects and suitability for their needs.
