Accordingly, the first flight numbered 5J 5756 from Manila landed at Da Nang International Airport at 9:30 p.m., bringing 177 Filipino passengers to visit and experience tourism services in Da Nang city.
The Manila - Da Nang route is regularly operated by Cebu Pacific Air, with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using A320NEO aircraft with a capacity of 188 seats.
Within the framework of the program, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new flight route, a welcome art performance, etc. In addition, the Department of Tourism also presented souvenirs, free vouchers to experience services at Sky 36 and the Ao Dai show to all passengers on the first flight. In particular, 3 lucky passengers on the flight also received vouchers for round-trip air tickets from Manila to Da Nang on Cebu Pacific Air.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that the Philippines is one of the new and potential markets for Da Nang tourism. The opening of the direct flight route Manila - Da Nang is the most practical result from the successful organization of the Asian Route Development Forum - Routes Asia 2022.
“Through this forum, the city has connected and worked with Cebu Pacific Air to promote the opening of a new flight route from Manila to Da Nang, contributing to the restoration and diversification of the international market to Da Nang. We expect the flight route to facilitate the connection and exchange of bilateral visitors between the two markets,” said Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong.

It is known that, on the occasion of welcoming this new flight route, the Department of Tourism organized to welcome travel famtrip groups, presstrip groups and KOLs from the Philippines to experience and survey tourism products and services in Da Nang, creating opportunities to connect with tourism businesses in Da Nang city, build tourism product packages suitable for the tastes of Filipino tourists and promote Da Nang tourism to attract and effectively exploit the Philippine market.
According to information from Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company - AHT, up to now there are 16 regular international flights operating to Da Nang, with the frequency of international flights reaching 45-50 flights/day.
The Philippines is a country with over 109 million people, with a relatively high spending level in the Southeast Asian region. Da Nang is the third city in Vietnam that Cebu Pacific Air has chosen to open a route in Vietnam after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
