On the evening of November 1, at Dak Lak Provincial Museum, the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province organized the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups".
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong; Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Ma The Anh; Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh and representatives of relevant departments, agencies and branches.

The photo exhibition “Colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups” was held at Dak Lak Provincial Museum from November 1 to November 10, 2024, displaying and introducing 200 works by 87 authors. These are photos selected from thousands of photos by professional and amateur photographers, ethnic researchers, journalists, photojournalists, lovers of traditional culture of ethnic groups... from all over the country.
Speaking at the opening of the photo exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that the works displayed at the exhibition represent the typical cultural features of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, from customs, beliefs, lifestyles, especially traditional costumes and festivals; vivid, authentic, and precious moments that photographers have captured through the art of photography, with much respect and love. Through the collection and introduction of the photo series, the attention of the Party, State and the entire people to preserving and promoting the precious cultural values of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam is once again affirmed.

Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh said that Dak Lak province is very honored to be chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the locality to coordinate in organizing the Photo Exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups", and hopes that the Photo Exhibition will achieve many good results, contributing to preserving, honoring and spreading the unique cultural values of the Vietnamese ethnic community.
The photo exhibition “Colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups” is a practical activity to contribute to improving the quality of building cultural life associated with preserving and promoting cultural values in the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas; improving the level of cultural enjoyment for ethnic minorities, with priority given to ethnic minorities with very small populations.

At the same time, through the exhibition, we aim to complete, supplement and build a beautiful, typical and unique photo collection of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam to serve the State's introduction, propaganda and promotion during festivals, major events, cultural and artistic exchange activities at home and abroad. Along with that, we create favorable conditions for people in the country and international friends to enjoy works of art and learn about the culture, life and people of the ethnic groups of Vietnam.

After the exhibition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will donate all the works to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak to continue serving the large number of ethnic people in the province to visit.
