On the afternoon of April 16, at Buon Ma Thuot Stadium, Dak Lak Football Club had its first home match, opening the 2025 National Second Division, hosting the visiting team Kon Tum.

Dak Lak players (yellow shirts) have the opening match of the new season at home.

With home field advantage and determination to get good results to start the new season, Dak Lak Football Club players took the initiative to put pressure on their opponents with a variety of attacking options. However, in a day of focused defense by the away team, most of the attacks from the Buon Ma Thuot home team were neutralized. The away team Kon Tum defended proactively, and the match did not have many truly dangerous situations.

Kon Tum players (blue shirts) had a successful match with an active defense.

Unsuccessful in their attacking plans, Dak Lak players also had to accept an unexpected goal in the middle of the second half. The home team's subsequent efforts were ineffective, thereby accepting defeat with a final score of 0-1.

At the 2025 National Second Division Football Tournament, Dak Lak Football Club is in Group B with the following teams: Kon Tum, Youth SHB Da Nang, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Gia Dinh, and Van Hien University.
