Sentenced to 6 years in prison for embezzlement

DTO - On April 15, Hong Ngu City People's Court opened the first instance trial of the criminal case against defendant Vo Van Kich (born in 1971, permanent resident of Tan Dong B hamlet, Thanh Binh town, Thanh Binh district, Dong Thap province) for the crime of "Embezzlement of property".

According to the indictment, in October 2019, Kich was recruited by An Loc Trading Company Limited and assigned to work as a warehouse keeper.

From around November 2023 to February 2024, taking advantage of his duties as a warehouse keeper, defendant Kich arbitrarily exported more goods than the company's warehouse delivery note, causing a loss to the company of over VND 855 million.

The jury sentenced the defendant Kich to 6 years in prison for "embezzlement of property" and ordered him to compensate the company over 855 million VND.
