Dong Nai's departments, branches and localities must urgently develop a scenario for double-digit economic growth in April 2025.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the first quarter, Dong Nai's GRDP growth reached 6.84%. Therefore, to achieve the double-digit growth target by 2025, Dong Nai must accelerate in the last 9 months of the year.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Finance Truong Thi Huong Binh said that to achieve double-digit growth, Dong Nai needs to achieve major targets, including the target of disbursing public investment capital. Up to now, the rate of disbursement of public investment capital in departments and branches is very low, although from the beginning of the year, investors committed to implementing the set plan well but the results are not high. Some targets in other areas such as state budget collection, social housing construction, disbursement of foreign investment capital, and land auction have not achieved the expected results.

Notably, up to now, 11/31 units in the province have not yet developed economic growth scenarios as required by the Provincial People's Committee, including: Department of Education and Training, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Land Fund Development Center, State Bank of Vietnam Region XII, Tax Department of Region XV, Dong Nai Provincial Statistics Office, Customs Department of Region XVIII, Provincial Police and People's Committees of Dinh Quan, Trang Bom and Vinh Cuu districts.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc clearly stated the tasks and solutions to successfully implement the province's double-digit economic growth target in 2025.

Accordingly, in the short term, departments, branches and localities that have not yet developed detailed scenarios/plans for the growth of their sectors and units in 2025 should urgently complete and approve them and send them to the Department of Finance for synthesis in April 2025. Units should pay attention to assessing the impact and influence of US tax policies on their sectors and units to have solutions suitable for each specific scenario. At the same time, advise the Provincial People's Committee on solutions to achieve double-digit economic growth.

For each sector and field including: state budget collection, public investment, social housing projects, planning, domestic and foreign investment promotion... The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to develop detailed plans, specifying the tasks of each individual and leader to ensure the implementation of the tasks in 2025. During the implementation process, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee the results, advantages, difficulties and problems, and at the same time advise on solutions.
