Attending the first session of the Congress were Mr. Vu Dinh Long - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Nam province.

Speaking at the opening session of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Nam province (term 2024 - 2029), Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, term X, said: The process of organizing the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Nam province was seriously prepared and closely conducted, with the focused leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Party committees at all levels.

The active coordination, ensuring the conditions of the government and the proactiveness and seriousness of the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, is truly a widespread political and social activity among all classes of people, contributing to raising the awareness of society and the political system about the important role, position, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period.

To successfully complete the content and program set out by the Congress, Mr. Le Tri Thanh requested delegates to promote the spirit of responsibility and democracy, actively participate in discussions and give opinions on the content presented by the 10th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the Congress.

"The success of the Congress will be of great significance in continuing to firmly consolidate the great national unity bloc, actively promoting the people's role as masters, building a strong Party and government, contributing to building Quang Nam province into a fairly developed province of the country by 2030" - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Le Tri Thanh emphasized.

According to the working program, the first session of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Nam province includes the following contents: summary report on the situation of delegates attending the Congress; consultation to elect the Presidium and Secretary of the Congress; approval of the program of the second session of the Congress; approval of the draft regulations and rules of the Congress.

Summary report on the implementation results of the Action Program for the 2019 - 2024 term and the expected Action Program for the 2024 - 2029 term; review report on the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term X, term 2019 - 2024; representatives of agencies and units presented their speeches; report on the Personnel Project of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XI, term 2024 - 2029 and approve the list of personnel expected to participate in the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, term XI.

Discuss, contribute ideas and synthesize, explain and accept ideas for the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 11th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term 2024 - 2029); discuss and synthesize ideas for the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and contribute ideas for amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Reporting on the situation of delegates attending the 11th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, Mr. Le Thai Binh - Vice Chairman of the 10th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee reported that the total number of official delegates summoned to attend the Congress was 300 delegates.
Of which, non-Party delegates accounted for 25.33%, female delegates 29.33%, religious delegates 11%, and ethnic minority delegates 17%; the oldest delegate attending the Congress was 81 years old; the youngest delegate attending the Congress was 31 years old; the average age of delegates was 50 years old.
