Opening of Vietnam Datafest

NDO - On October 24, the National Digital Transformation Agency coordinated with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province to organize the opening ceremony of "Vietnam Data Festival - Vietnam Datafest - 2024" and the Forum "Data strategy for developing artificial intelligence applications and promoting digital transformation in Ninh Binh".

Vietnam Datafest is one of the national events on digital data in the country's development with the orientation of the National Digital Transformation Program. The program is organized annually in the form of exhibitions and seminars on digital data and digital data applications in the 4.0 industrial revolution and national digital transformation.

With the participation of many domestic and international units, Vietnam Datafest aims to promote public-private partnerships in implementing cooperation programs to effectively exploit data sources with modern data technologies; promote data-based research and development, and especially data-based digital culture. Thereby, effectively utilizing and exploiting resources to address the challenges of promoting integration in the development of the 4.0 industrial revolution and realizing the National Digital Transformation Program, aiming for a truly "Digital" Vietnam by 2045.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam delivered the opening speech.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam stated: Data is a national asset, a productive force, playing an important role in the development of the country and each locality, each industry and individual. Revolution 4.0, digital transformation, data are the keys to success for development. Using data well will solve many problems for development. Ninh Binh is a locality that has paid attention to digital transformation, needs to choose appropriate data solutions for development, shortening the gap between rural and urban areas, between rich and poor.

For the first time, Datafest 2023 is held together with the National Digital Data Year summary event at the Ministry of Information and Communications Headquarters to respond to the development of the 4.0 industrial revolution, using data as a source of information and raw materials for innovation and creation of new values; and marking the first year that the Ministry of Information and Communications launched the National Digital Data Year. The event is organized with a thematic workshop on issues of research, application, deployment and development of data, businesses with data culture and community services with data orientation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Party Central Committee member and Ninh Binh Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan highlighted the economic, tourism and thousands of years of cultural and historical traditions of the ancient capital. Ninh Binh leaders and people clearly recognize the opportunities and challenges on the path of development in the 4.0 era and the digital age, determined to successfully transform digitally, and therefore hope to receive effective cooperation and assistance from the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and other localities.

This year's Vietnam Data Festival lasts for two days, October 24 and 25, with many diverse activities, including: Exhibition introducing technology, infrastructure, data services and innovative products and solutions in Ninh Binh; Forum and seminars on data; Seminar on digital transformation and innovation in Ninh Binh province.

Within the framework of the activities, the program includes forums to update, share information, convey experiences as well as discuss, focusing on topics that highlight the value of data, data strategies, modern data architecture for businesses, data economy, data security and safety and the new generation of data centers. The workshop is also an opportunity for experts to discuss digital transformation of education, high-quality healthcare development, digital transformation of agriculture and smart rural development...
