Opening of the 'Overcoming Ha Long Waves' Festival

Over 50 vehicles including sailboats, jet skis, jet skis and parachutes will bring spectacular performances to the "Overcoming Ha Long Waves - 2024" festival.

On August 24, the "Overcoming the Waves of Ha Long 2024" festival will officially take place in Ha Long City. Then, on September 1-2, the city will organize the "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long" Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024.

These are events within the "Ha Long - Festival City" Project and are also activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay being recognized as a world natural heritage (1994-2024).

With these two special events, Ha Long City aims to welcome 10 million visitors in 2024 instead of 8.7 million visitors as planned.

“Overcoming Ha Long Waves - 2024” promises to be exciting and attractive, bringing Ha Long people and tourists new and unforgettable experiences.

According to the program, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 24, the sailing team will depart from Tuan Chau beach and move to Ocean Park beach; continue to march to the beach opposite Ha Long Flower Park.

At the end of the parade, the sailboat team gathered in formation to prepare for a performance with parachutes, jet skis and jet skis.

From 5pm to 8pm on August 24, 12 jet skis will perform in formation, parading with the national flag. The motor ski team will depart from Hon Gai Passenger Port along the coast to the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. Meanwhile, the jet ski team will perform around the coastal area opposite Ha Long Flower Park. At the same time, the parachute team departing from 30/10 Square will also enter the performance area on the coast opposite Ha Long Flower Park.

This is the first time Ha Long city has organized a sailing, parasailing, and jet skiing festival. This is an opportunity for sailing, parasailing, and jet skiing enthusiasts from all over the country to come to Ha Long city to perform, exchange, and promote the development of these sports.

At the same time, this event aims to contribute to promoting and boosting Ha Long tourism, becoming a highlight activity in the orientation of building Ha Long as a festival city, attracting tourists to the beautiful and dreamy coastal city of Ha Long on the shore of the heritage bay.
