Currently, in Vietnam, there are 30 cemeteries of Chinese soldiers and experts who have contributed to the Vietnamese revolution in 14 provinces and cities with 1,460 graves, of which 22 cemeteries need to be restored and embellished with an estimated budget of about 61 billion VND. The Ministry of National Defense has assigned seven military business units to restore and embellish the above cemeteries, including Army Corps 11, 12, 18, Military Industry-Telecom Group, Dong Bac Corporation, Saigon Newport Corporation, and Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
After nearly three months of construction, as of March 31, 19/22 cemeteries in need of renovation with 943 graves have been completed and handed over to local authorities for management. The remaining cemeteries will be completed in April, and signs will be reattached to 11 cemeteries. In the coming time, the translation of information on tombstones, verification, collection, and addition of information, and long-term archival records will be completed...
On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defense awarded certificates of merit to 25 collectives and 23 individuals with outstanding achievements, contributing to defense diplomacy in particular and building Vietnam-China relations in general.
