Opening of Quang Ninh OCOP Fair

On the evening of January 17, at the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, the opening ceremony of the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Spring 2025 took place. Attending were comrades Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade; Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Quang Ninh OCOP Steering Committee.

Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Spring 2025 has a scale of 200 standard booths, divided into 4 areas; the areas are arranged with prefabricated houses with roofs for all booths.

Accordingly, area 1 has about 100 booths introducing typical products and OCOP products of districts, towns and cities of Quang Ninh.

Area 2 has 80 booths displaying and introducing OCOP products, typical agricultural products of provinces, cities, and domestic economic organizations.

Area 3 has 20 booths for small and medium-sized enterprises selling products for Lunar New Year such as cakes, jams, candies, drinks, decorative arts, etc.

Area 4 is the symbolic space of the Quang Ninh OCOP program associated with the symbolic cultural space of Spring to serve the need for taking souvenir photos, creating a media effect, and creating a joyful atmosphere to welcome the New Year 2025 for people when coming to the Fair.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Spring 2025, Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, highly appreciated the organization of the fairs in Quang Ninh, which have met the needs of tourists and people with a variety of rich and quality products and goods. The fair has become an important highlight in the rural economic development strategy of Quang Ninh province.

By encouraging communes and wards to take advantage of available resources and create high-quality, synchronous products, Quang Ninh province has created conditions for businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP product production facilities in the province to seek market information, connect product consumption, cooperate and develop products between Quang Ninh province and other provinces and cities across the country.

The organizers awarded certificates to star-winning products.

2024 is the 9th time Quang Ninh province has organized the evaluation and ranking of OCOP products. After going through the rounds of competition (from district to provincial level), with a sense of responsibility for consumers, the Evaluation Council has selected 29 products that meet 4-star standards and 4 potential 5-star products to award certificates to products at the Fair.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to 29 works of 12 units participating in the Competition on creative packaging, product labels, gift baskets and OCOP product stories in Quang Ninh province. The competition was held for the first time to create conditions for establishments to innovate, create, and improve packaging, labels, and gift baskets; thereby enhancing aesthetic value, aiming at professionalization, meeting consumer needs, enhancing competitiveness in the market and gradually exporting abroad.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the winning entries of the Competition for creative packaging, product labels, gift baskets and OCOP product stories in Quang Ninh province.

Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Spring 2025 is an annual trade promotion activity under the "One Commune One Product" Program of Quang Ninh province. The fair is held before the Lunar New Year every year, aiming to provide a source of good quality goods to serve the shopping needs of people during Tet. This is also an activity to promote and introduce to domestic and international tourists the joyful and joyful atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday of the people in Quang Ninh province in particular and Vietnam in general; displaying and introducing typical, typical and regional products of provinces and cities in the country.
