Opening of training courses on skills, expertise, and in-depth knowledge of religious work in the city (phase 1) in 2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 19, To Hieu Political School held the opening ceremony of the training courses on skills, expertise, and in-depth knowledge of religious work in the city (phase 1) in 2024. Attending were comrades: Le Tri Vu, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Kim Pha, Principal of To Hieu Political School; Do Trang Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; leaders of the Religious Affairs Committee, Department of Home Affairs.

The course has 216 students, divided into 3 classes. The students will be equipped and updated by lecturers who are leaders and former leaders of the Institute of Religion and Belief, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; leaders of the Religious Affairs Committee, Hai Phong Department of Home Affairs; Department of Internal Security - City Police; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city on general issues on religious work in the new situation; the Party's viewpoints, policies and laws of the State on beliefs and religions in Vietnam; especially skills and expertise in carrying out the work of mobilizing and uniting religions in Hai Phong.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Kim Pha, Principal of To Hieu Political School, stated: The training course takes place over 5 days to continue improving skills, expertise, and in-depth knowledge of religious and belief work. He requested the functional departments of the School to promptly provide sufficient learning materials, arrange to ensure the most favorable physical conditions for teaching, learning, exchange, discussion, and activities of lecturers and students; develop a truly scientific study plan and report cards, regularly report to the School leaders on arising issues for timely resolution; The class management board must always closely follow all activities of the class, be an important bridge between the class and the school, regularly grasp the situation of the class to promptly resolve arising problems as well as legitimate requests of students.

Speaking at the training course, comrade Le Tri Vu, Head of the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee, emphasized that the training course is an opportunity to equip and foster more knowledge, skills, and expertise for cadres and civil servants working in State management of beliefs and religions at all levels to acquire new knowledge and experience in practice to better serve the advisory work for local Party committees and authorities to better perform the task of State management of beliefs and religions. He asked the trainees to uphold their sense of responsibility, arrange their work reasonably to focus on studying time, strictly comply with the regulations of the class and the school, fully participate in class sessions, actively exchange and discuss according to the requirements of the lecturers; the lecturers and reporters shared practical experiences, creating conditions for the trainees participating in the course to have the opportunity to increase exchange and discussion, especially new and difficult issues arising from practice.
