BHG - On the afternoon of April 1, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Xin Man district solemnly held a ceremony to receive the National Historical Relic Certificate for the site where the 148th Regiment's Art Troupe sacrificed their lives in Nan Ma commune in 1952 and a meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Xin Man district (April 1, 1965 - April 1, 2025). Attending the ceremony were comrade Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; leaders and former leaders of the district through the periods; representatives of districts, cities and Simacai and Bac Ha districts (Lao Cai).

Nan Ma historical relic site is located in Nan Ma village, Nan Ma commune (Xin Man). This is a place of historical significance associated with the heroic sacrifice of 11 members of the Art Troupe of the 148th Regiment of the Northwest region during the years of resistance against French colonialism. In 2016, Nan Ma historical relic site was ranked as a provincial historical relic by the Provincial People's Committee under Decision No. 836 and the Xin Man District Party Committee organized the construction and completion of the Memorial Site for the Heroes and Martyrs of the Art Troupe of the 148th Regiment in Nan Ma village. On November 20, 2024, Nan Ma historical relic site was recognized as a National Monument under Decision 3549 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Xin Man District Party Committee Do Thi Huong emphasized: The historical site of the 148th Regiment's Art Troupe that sacrificed its life in Nan Ma commune in 1952 was recognized as a National Historical Site, which has great significance in commemorating and paying tribute to the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs and is a red address to educate revolutionary traditions, arouse pride in national heroes, contribute to orienting ideology, educating traditions; is a driving force to strive to build the homeland and country increasingly rich and strong.

The District Party Secretary summarized 60 years of construction and development of Xin Man district: On April 1, 1965, the Government Council issued Decision No. 49 on separating Hoang Su Phi district into two districts, named Hoang Su Phi district and Xin Man district. At that time, Xin Man district consisted of 18 communes, with 8 ethnic groups and more than 23,000 people. The district center was located in Xin Man commune, and at the end of 1967, it was moved to Coc Pai commune. Since its establishment, the Xin Man district Party Committee has gone through 60 years of construction and development, with 18 congresses. It was a journey full of hardships and challenges that the Party Committee overcame, taking on the role of leading the people of all ethnic groups in the district to carry out all political tasks in each historical period. Currently, the district Party Committee has 55 branches and grassroots Party Committees, with 314 Party cells directly under the grassroots Party Committees, with a total of 5,938 Party members. After 60 years of construction and development, Xin Man district has had many improvements, the urban and rural areas have changed a lot, people's lives are increasingly stable and improved; socio-economic development is quite comprehensive; national defense and security from the border to the interior are always stable, social order and safety are maintained; Party building and political system building work are consolidated and enhanced. The role of Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations is promoted.
