Calling for investors to establish a company and transfer the Binh Thuan Football team

BTO-On August 18, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Bui The Nhan, presented to the Provincial People's Committee the establishment of the Professional Football Joint Stock Company to participate in the National First Division Football Tournament in the 2023-2024 season.

The establishment of the Professional Football Joint Stock Company in accordance with the spirit of Official Dispatch No. 3969/UBND-KGVXNV, dated November 22, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee on the plan to participate in the National First Division Football Tournament in 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the Provincial Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center to manage and select a team of highly qualified coaches and athletes to participate in the National First Division Football Tournament - Bia Sao Vang 2023.

In the first season, after 15 rounds of the professional playground, Binh Thuan Football team has 20 points, temporarily ranked 5th on the rankings, 8 points more than the bottom team (play-off position) while the season has 3 more rounds to end. With the current position and score, Binh Thuan Football team is likely to maintain its position and continue to participate in the National First Division Football Tournament in the 2023-2024 season.

On June 19, 2023, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company issued Official Dispatch No. 192/VPF-TCTĐ on summarizing information on the results of the Workshop on preparations for organizing national professional football tournaments 2023/2024. Accordingly, the national First Division football tournament for the 2023-2024 season is expected to take place from October 20, 2023 to July 14, 2024, with 12 participating football clubs (an increase of 02 teams compared to the 2023 season).
This is also the first year that Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company organizes professional football tournaments according to the competition plan of the Asian Football Confederation. Pursuant to Clause 3 - Article 7, Professional Football Regulations (amended and supplemented in 2021) approved by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training (now the Department of Sports and Physical Training) in Decision No. 76/QD-TCTDTT, dated January 21, 2022, "Newly promoted clubs shall have the deadline for conversion to a professional football club (enterprise) no later than 60 days before the opening day of the second season of the professional football tournament".

The report also stated that due to the difficult economic situation, especially the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, after nearly a season of participating in the National First Division Football Tournament - Bia Sao Vang 2023, the Binh Thuan Football Team has not yet found investors or businesses to sponsor funds. Therefore, to ensure compliance with the Professional Football Regulations, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction to call for investors to establish a company and transfer the Binh Thuan Football Team to businesses for management, participating in the National First Division Football Tournament in the 2023-2024 season.
