The “3 explosions” test (AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1, hidden and visible targets during the day; wrapping and explosives techniques; throwing grenades at long distances and hitting targets) of Battalion 7 took place safely, quickly and with high results. Of which, the AK submachine gun shooting lesson 1 had good results, grenade throwing and explosives had good results. Battalion 9 also achieved similar results.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hiep, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 31, excitedly said: “The test results reflect the training capacity of the unit’s cadres. But the important thing is that after 3 months of training, the new soldiers (CSM) have clearly matured in awareness and action, have a high sense of responsibility in building the unit, have a strong political stance, good ethics and have formed the style of a revolutionary soldier.”

New soldiers of Regiment 31 practice explosives testing.

To achieve these results, from the beginning of 2023, the Party Committee and the Command of Regiment 31 have led and directed units to do a good job of preparing materials and training grounds for CSM training; perfecting cadres according to the training framework; organizing training on management methods, command and practical training skills, maintaining practice and reviewing the contents; fostering management methods and handling ideological situations for platoon and company cadres; in which, the focus is on fostering training content, organizing practice and testing "3 explosions".

During the training process, the unit promoted the role of the company, platoon and squad cadres; actively guided, inspected, recorded, classified, and grasped the quality of soldiers in each training content and topic; from there, assigned cadres with good experience and skills in each content to guide, correct and gradually improve the quality of the soldiers' practice. Major Le Huu Tai, Battalion Commander of Battalion 7 shared: "To train CSMs to have courage, stable mentality and confidence, the unit tested shooting in various positions, combined shooting, and organized multiple grenade throwing. Through that, we learned from experience and overcame limitations in each test content; at the same time, helped soldiers get used to the sound of explosions and the actual conditions of the live ammunition training ground."

During training experience review sessions, the Regiment commander requires officers who are good at a certain content to participate in reviewing experience and correcting mistakes for the soldiers in that content, not assigning one officer to represent all the content. This method ensures quality and is close to reality, while imparting useful skills and experience for soldiers to apply in training and practicing the "3 explosions" test. For example, the experience of eliminating glare at the AK submachine gun sight, soldiers should not try to squint to aim at the target but should look far away to a green place, such as grass, bushes... for about 5-7 seconds to adjust their eyes before continuing to aim. Or the experience of regulating breathing, keeping the gun face balanced..., are all meticulously instructed by officers, helping soldiers confidently practice, aim and shoot with good results. Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Dang Phu, Deputy Regiment Commander and Chief of Staff of Regiment 31, said: "Along with imparting practical experience, the team of cadres directly training combined psychological training, "eliminating tremors" for the soldiers through deep breathing, breathing evenly, not tensing the arm muscles when holding the gun, not rushing to shoot immediately but relaxing the body for 3-5 seconds; slowly pulling the trigger, calmly finishing each shot... These practical and useful experiences contributed to overcoming the soldiers' nervousness, anxiety, and fear of explosions."

Officers of Regiment 31 congratulated the new soldier who achieved good results in shooting AK submachine gun lesson 1.

In addition, Regiment 31 regularly organizes ideological activities, thoroughly grasps tasks, combined with traditional education; announces the results of CSM training in previous years; builds trust and sense of responsibility, determination to strive for the troops; at the same time, regularly organizes recreational activities during holidays and breaks; builds a healthy and good cultural environment, creates an open atmosphere, solidarity, love for comrades, and mutual assistance between cadres and soldiers, between former soldiers and CSM. The cadre team sets an example in implementing "4 together" (eating together, living together, working together, sharing together) with the troops...

Lieutenant Colonel Dang Van Dung, Commander of Regiment 31, added: "Following the training motto of "basic, practical, solid", the Party Committee and the Regiment's commanders have led and directed the CSM training units to ensure correct and sufficient content and time, and attach importance to training the soldiers' practical movements. Cadres must closely follow the unit, "hold hands and show them how to do things", educate, manage, and train the soldiers from the beginning to create a routine; at the same time, closely combine training with imparting practical experience in each content and psychological training to improve the quality of the "3-explosion" test, contributing to the successful completion of the CSM training task in 2023.
