According to Tech Unwrapped , iOS 16.5 is an update released by Apple a few days ago to bring new features such as the Pride wallpaper theme and fix many bugs, some of which are being actively exploited by hackers.
However, the update is also said to reduce the battery life of the iPhone as some reports from the online community. A quick search on social networks shows that many Apple users are having problems with their iPhone batteries, specifically the battery life has been seriously affected since installing the new update.
Device battery drains faster after updating to new iOS 16.5
Apple has since officially acknowledged the issue, reassuring users that it is normal for apps and device features to need tweaking up to 48 hours after an update. The company says the initial issues have now been resolved as the new version has been rolling out for more than 48 hours.
Experts also said that in case of continuing to have problems with the battery on the iPhone after updating to iOS 16.5, users can try restarting their device as well as accessing the App Store to update the applications on the device.
If the problem persists, users can check their battery status in Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging . Here users will find the maximum capacity of the battery. If this level is below 80%, it means the battery has reduced its lifespan and it is time to replace it with a new one.
