Cancel the invitation for interest in the 1,189 billion VND social housing project

On October 23, the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue announced that it had sent a notice to the Joint Venture of An Binh Housing Investment Joint Stock Company and Dak Lak Urban Development Investment Company Limited about canceling the notice inviting interest in the project using land for the Social Housing Project at Land Lot XH1 in Area B - An Van Duong New Urban Area.

Previously, as reported by Electronic Investment Newspaper - Baodautu.vn, on June 3, 2024, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province issued a decision approving the investment policy of the Social Housing project at Land XH1 in Area B - An Van Duong New Urban Area.

Accordingly, the total investment of the project is about 1,189.73 billion VND. Of which, the total preliminary cost of project implementation is 1,187.65 billion VND; preliminary cost of compensation, support, and resettlement is 2 billion VND.

The project will select investors by bidding. The project will be implemented at the land plot marked XH1 - Thuy Van Complex Phase 1, in Thuy Van Ward, Hue City.

After the decision to approve the investment policy was issued, on July 9, 2024, after the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province approved the invitation for interest in the Social Housing project at Land XH1 in Area B - An Van Duong New Urban Area, the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue province posted an invitation for interest in the project.

However, as of August 1, 2024, no investor has submitted a project registration application. It was not until August 9, 2024 that the joint venture of An Binh Housing Investment JSC and Dak Lak Urban Development Investment LLC submitted a registration application.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue, based on the provisions of Point b, Clause 2 and Point b, Clause 4, Article 73 of Decree No. 115/2024/ND-CP dated March 26, 2021 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Bidding on selecting investors to implement investment projects using land, the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue province announces the cancellation of the notice of invitation for interest in the Social Housing project at Land Lot XH1 in Area B - New Urban Area An Van Duong.

At the same time, the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue province will organize a re-invitation of interest in the project for investors in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 115/2024/ND-CP dated September 16, 2024 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Bidding on selecting investors to implement investment projects using land and Circular No. 15/2024/TT-BKHĐT dated September 30, 2024 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This notice will be posted on the National Bidding Network (http://muasamcong.mpi.gov.vn), and the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Information Portal (https://thuathienhue.gov.vn).

It is known that recently, in Quang Tri, the Department of Planning and Investment of this province also announced the cancellation of the invitation for interest and stopped selecting investors for 3 projects: Residential area North of Tan So street, Dong Luong ward; Residential area South of Hieu river, ward 4, Dong Ha city; Urban housing area combined with social housing in Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park for the same reason.
