Instructions for registering for the entrance exam to grade 10 public schools in Hanoi

According to the instructions of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, when registering for admission to grade 10 of a non-specialized public high school, each student can register for a maximum of 3 (three) NVs to three public high schools in the following order: NV1, NV2 and NV3, in which NV1 and NV2 must belong to the same enrollment area (KVTS) according to regulations, NV3 can belong to any KVTS. Students are not allowed to change their NVs after registration.

If a student only registers for two NVs in two public high schools, NV1 must be registered in the prescribed KVTS area, and NV2 in any KVTS area.

If a student only registers for 01 NV in a public high school, he/she can register for any high school in the KVTS area.

In case students register for non-specialized grade 10 at Viet Duc High School (German as a second foreign language, 7-year system) and the Ethnic Boarding School, NV1 must belong to the above cases, NV2 (if any) must belong to the prescribed training area, NV3 (if any) must belong to any training area.

For students who register to take Japanese class (foreign language 1): can register to take NV1 and NV2 at two high schools: Kim Lien, Viet Duc, NV3 (if any) in any KVTS area.

The 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 7 and 8.

According to the plan of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, 9th grade students will submit the "Application form for admission to grade 10 high school for the 2025-2026 school year" on April 18.

Secondary schools, vocational education centers, and continuing education centers in the city are responsible for disseminating and instructing students on regulations related to grade 10 admission, and at the same time organizing the collection of "Application forms for admission to grade 10 high school for the 2025-2026 school year" in accordance with regulations.
