What is a personal tax code?
Personal tax code is a series of 10 or 13 digits and other characters issued by the tax authority to taxpayers for tax management purposes, according to Clause 5, Article 3 of the Law on Tax Administration 2019. Personal tax code is a unique code for taxpayers to use for the purpose of declaring all their income.

Instructions on how to look up the first personal tax code
Step 1: Access the General Department of Taxation's e-Tax website at https://thuedientu.gdt.gov.vn/.
Step 2: Select Personal .
Step 3: Select Look up NNT information .
Step 4: Enter the CCCD number and confirmation code . Then click Search .
Step 5: The results of the personal tax code lookup will appear.
Instructions on how to look up a second personal tax code
Step 1: Select the Lookup section on the General Department of Taxation's Information Page at http://tracuunnt.gdt.gov.vn/tcnnt/mstcn.jsp.
Step 2: Enter the ID number you need to check and the confirmation code .
Step 3: Click Search.
The returned results will display some information such as: Tax code , Taxpayer name , ID number/ID card , Tax authority , Date of most recent information change , Notes , as shown below:
