The country currently has 34 major projects, 86 important national component projects, key projects of the Transport sector in 46 provinces and cities; of which, there are 5 railway projects, 2 airport projects, the rest are expressway projects and beltway projects. Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, ministries, branches, localities and relevant agencies have actively organized implementation; field measurement, inventory of assets on land, compensation and site clearance have been accelerated; the volume of basic construction items has been completed, meeting the requirements.
Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the conference at the bridge point of our province.
The conference heard reports from a number of ministries, sectors and localities on the progress of project implementation; some difficulties and problems related to construction material mine procedures, disbursement and capital arrangement; compensation, site clearance, resettlement, appraisal of land use conversion, etc.
Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged that in recent times, ministries, branches and localities have proactively and resolutely implemented assigned tasks, and many long-standing problems have been promptly addressed and resolved. In order to implement projects with quality assurance, on schedule, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Prime Minister requested members of the Steering Committee, ministries, branches and localities to continue to enhance their coordination role in reviewing, supplementing and perfecting institutions, mechanisms and policies; strengthening inspection and resolving remaining difficulties in construction materials, ODA capital use, site clearance, resettlement, and relocation of technical infrastructure, etc. Strengthening direction for units and contractors to make efforts to speed up the construction of bidding packages, determined to complete the workload set out in 2024 and the following years.
