More than 96% of children in Hai Duong are vaccinated against measles.

From March 25 to March 31, the whole province had 9,149 children of the right age vaccinated against measles.

According to a quick report from the Hai Duong Province Center for Disease Control, the measles vaccination campaign from March 25 to March 31 reached 96.3%, meeting the set plan.

Specifically, the whole province has 9,149 children vaccinated against measles. Of these, 2,445 children are from 6 to under 9 months old, 2,790 children are from 1 to 5 years old, and the remaining children are from 6 to 10 years old.

The provincial Center for Disease Control has requested health stations in communes, wards and towns to compile statistics on costs. Detailed vaccination results, review subjects in the right age group for additional vaccination in the upcoming expanded vaccination campaigns.

From January 1 to now, the whole province has recorded 304 cases of measles, while there were no cases recorded in the same period last year. Hai Duong city has the highest number of cases (149 cases), followed by Kinh Mon town (27 cases), Other localities from 4 - 23 cases.

Hai Duong currently has 3 active outbreaks. The outbreak is at Phung Van Trinh Primary School, Dong Lac Commune (Nam Sach) with 5 cases. Thanh Ha District has 2 outbreaks at Hong Lac Secondary School with 7 cases, Thanh Tan Secondary School has 11 cases.

In 2024, Hai Duong organized a measles vaccination campaign for 20,217 children aged 1-5, reaching 98.7% of the plan, and 1,425 health workers at risk, reaching 80% of the plan.
