According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the new policy applies to international visitors arriving in Thailand by air, land and sea from May 1. Accordingly, visitors must declare online via the Digital Immigration Control System (TDAC) within 3 days before arrival. The TDAC or declaration card has the same content as the paper form previously used for declaration, except that visitors can do it online.
According to TAT, this new technical system makes the immigration process faster, easier and safer. Visitors are required to fill out this form if they want to enter the country.
Declarants can log in directly to the website tdac.immigration.go.th or scan the QR code on the website and fill in the necessary information such as: full name, nationality, phone number, email address, passport number as well as travel itinerary including flight number, hotel address or accommodation in Thailand. After completing the procedure, visitors will be sent to their personal email with verification information and present this card at the Thai immigration counter.
According to the announcement of the General Statistics Office, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Thailand in 2024 will reach more than one million out of a total of 5.4 million departures for the year. Thailand is always on the list of international destinations most loved by Vietnamese visitors.
According to travel company CEOs, Thailand is the most suitable and favorite destination for Vietnamese tourists due to its convenient transportation and reasonable prices, as well as the ability to visit at any time of the year. Summer is usually the peak season for Vietnamese tourists to choose to go to Thailand.
