Specialist Doctor I Ho Thi Hoa, Deputy Head of the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention, Provincial Center for Disease Control said that, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, the Department of Health, and localities in the province will deploy a measles vaccination campaign for children from 6 months to under 9 months old until March 31, 2025.

In fact, after each measles vaccination campaign, the number of measles cases in the vaccinated group has decreased significantly. From the end of February 2025 to now, the measles chart in the province has been on a downward trend. The number of severe cases treated at Dong Nai Children's Hospital has also decreased.

Measles is an acute infectious disease, spreading the fastest among infectious diseases. The disease is transmitted through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Therefore, increasing the measles vaccination coverage rate in the community to 95% or more is the best solution to prevent the spread of measles.

Parents with children from 6 months to under 9 months old who have not been vaccinated against measles should take their children to local health stations to get vaccinated, to ensure disease prevention for children and avoid dangerous complications if their children unfortunately get sick.
