On April 6, 2025, VNG received a certificate of merit from the Olympic Committee for its outstanding efforts in developing eSports and promoting the Olympic movement in Vietnam in 2024.
At the 2025 E -Sports Honor & Award Ceremony organized by the Vietnam Entertainment E-Sports Association (VIRESA), VNG was one of seven eSports partners to receive a certificate of merit from the Olympic Committee, as well as being awarded a commemorative medal and certificate of Special Companion Partner of Vietnam E-Sports in 2024 by VIRESA.
In the list of individuals and organizations awarded the Certificate of National Athlete/Coach Title in E-Sports by VIRESA in 2024, League of Legends content - copyrighted by VNG in the Vietnamese market - is also honored to contribute 9 members.
Notable among them are athlete Do Duy Khanh with the title "Outstanding E-Sports Athlete 2024" and coach Le Quang Duy, awarded the title "Outstanding E-Sports National Team Head Coach 2024".
Speaking at the event, Mr. Do Viet Hung, Chairman of VIRESA, emphasized: "In Vietnam as well as many countries in the world, e-commerce is gradually becoming a communication culture of young people. E-commerce is no longer an independent industry but it has become a bridge, an integrated tool to increase value for other industries such as music, fashion, tourism and services, thereby contributing greatly to the growth of the digital economy in many countries."
Over the years, as the leading game publisher in Vietnam and the region, VNGGames has always actively supported and accompanied the Vietnamese game industry, especially in promoting the eSports industry.
As a member of the Executive Committee for the 4th term (2024-2029) of VIRESA, VNGGames directly contributes its experience and available resources to the overall development strategy of Vietnam eSports. In addition, VNGGames always strives to create a professional eSports environment through coordinating and organizing domestic and international tournaments; selecting and training young eSports talents; supporting and accompanying Vietnam eSports National Teams to compete in international tournaments; developing the fan community through large-scale live TV viewing sessions (Viewing Parties) for key eSports tournaments.
From July 2024, VNGGames will also cooperate with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) to launch the first formal game training major at a public university in Vietnam.
In 2025, VNGGames will continue to work with partners in Vietnam to organize and accompany many major eSports events such as the Asia-Pacific League of Legends tournament, while aiming for leading sports tournaments in the near future such as SEA Games 33, ASIAD 20 and Olympic eSports Games.
