First Quarter Conference of Agriculture and Environment Sector

Regarding the National Target Program on New Rural Development, up to now, the whole province has 71/90 communes (accounting for 78.9%) recognized as meeting new rural standards. Van Ninh and Dien Khanh districts have been recognized as meeting new rural district standards; Nha Trang City and Cam Ranh City have completed the task of building new rural areas.

Also in the first quarter, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has done a good job in managing land and mineral resources and protecting the environment. The province received 32,499 applications for land use right certificates; resolved and granted 37,523 land use right certificates of all kinds; completed more than 3,500 survey contracts with a total value of more than 7.3 billion VND; received and appraised 44 applications for mineral operation licenses... Other areas of work have also been effectively implemented by the department.

In the second quarter, the Department of Agriculture and Environment continued to strengthen inspection and supervision of the quality of agricultural materials, food safety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; closely monitor the epidemic situation, guide people in winter-spring crop production; regularly update the developments of reservoir water levels and weather conditions; speed up the disbursement of public investment capital; advise on resolving issues related to land procedures, land prices, compensation, support, resettlement, etc.
