Mr. Lu Van Cuong, Deputy Director in charge of the Muong Ang District Agricultural Service Center, said: “The District Agricultural Service Center has advised the District People's Committee to direct and guide localities and people to proactively take measures to prevent and control pests that harm rice. Direct technical staff to regularly inspect the fields and guide people right in the fields on preventive measures so that rice plants can grow and develop stably, ensuring the proposed yield and output.”
Muong Ang District Agricultural Service Center forecasts that in the coming time, the rice crops in the district will continue to have some pests and diseases, such as: Group of planthoppers, small leaf rollers, leaf blast, silver leaf disease... Slightly increasing in density and rate, other harmful organisms are common, greatly affecting the yield and quality of rice if not prevented in time. Therefore, people need to regularly visit the fields, maintain a reasonable water level in the fields, not let the fields be flooded or dry, monitor the situation of rice pests and diseases to promptly implement effective prevention measures, and at the same time use pesticides according to the "4 rights" principle to help reduce production costs, protect the environment, and contribute to ensuring rice productivity and output.
