From April 12, people and tourists visiting the Vietnam Military History Museum need to buy tickets at a price of 40,000 VND/person/time.

According to information from the Vietnam Military History Museum (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi), after a period of free opening for residents and visitors, the museum began charging entrance fees from April 12, at a price of 40,000 VND/person/visit.

Opening hours: morning from 8:00 to 11:30, afternoon from 13:00 to 16:30.

People under 16 years old, people 80 years old and over, war invalids, people with revolutionary contributions, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and Heroes of Labor will be exempted from museum admission fees.

Cases eligible for a 50% discount on ticket prices include: People with severe disabilities; senior citizens who are Vietnamese citizens aged 60 or older, with a senior citizen card or valid documents; students aged 16 or older with cards issued by educational institutions.

The Vietnam Military History Museum will open to the public on November 1, 2024, after five years of construction. Admission is free for the first four months.

Immediately after its opening, the Vietnam Military History Museum became one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hanoi. There were times when the museum welcomed a record number of visitors, up to 40,000 people per day.

The museum has a modern, multi-functional, architectural design, not only a work displaying war history but also creating a common space for visitors to interact and experience the struggle for national independence of the heroic Vietnam People's Army.

The highlight in front of the museum is the 45m high Victory Tower, symbolizing the country's independence in 1945. The main exhibition space of the museum is a 35.8m high building, consisting of 4 above-ground floors and a basement floor.

The museum is preserving and displaying more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures: 2 MIG-21 aircraft (serial numbers 4324, 5121), T54B tank (serial number 843) and the Determination to Fight map in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
