The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has the task of assessing the implementation results of the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; determining the goals and tasks for the 2023-2028 term; reviewing the leadership and direction of the Executive Committee of the 12th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, electing the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; assessing the implementation and approving the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (amended and supplemented).
The congress is expected to discuss three breakthroughs: Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, and occupational safety and hygiene. Focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises. Building a team of grassroots union chairmen to meet the requirements of the task, especially union chairmen in non-state enterprises. The congress also increased discussion of major issues facing the trade union organization through 10 forums.
