On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023), the 94th anniversary of Vietnam rubber industry tradition day (October 28, 1929 - October 28, 2023), on the afternoon of June 19, Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association and Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement for the period 2023 - 2025.

Reporting on the results of the cooperation in the period of 2020 - 2023, Mr. Huynh Kim Nhut, Deputy General Director of VRG, said that after a period of cooperation, the two sides have effectively implemented many signed contents. Including launching and awarding the first and second press awards for writing about the Vietnamese rubber industry; coordinating to organize press delegations to visit and learn about VRG's member units...
According to the cooperation agreement for the period 2023 - 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association will support connecting VRG with Ho Chi Minh City press agencies in communicating programs and activities of VRG and its affiliated units in performing economic development tasks, contributing to building and defending the Fatherland.
At the same time, the two sides will coordinate to organize a press competition about the rubber industry on the occasion of the industry's traditional day. Coordinate to organize training courses on journalism and communication for VRG staff in general and staff working in communication in particular. At the same time, support the organization of social and charitable activities for the community. The two sides will also promote the organization of cultural and sports exchanges...

At the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, VRG presented the Vietnam Rubber Medal to: journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper and Mr. Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association; Nguyen Tan Phong, President of Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association; Duong Vu Thong, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association for their great contributions to the construction and development of Vietnam's rubber industry.
VRG also awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups and 5 individuals, including Thanh Nien Newspaper and journalist Dinh Phu, Deputy Head of the Political and Social Department of Thanh Nien Newspaper, for their outstanding achievements in implementing the cooperation agreement between VRG and the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association in the past.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tan Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, shared: "In the coming time, the two sides will develop a specific cooperation development plan, suitable to the practical situation and tasks of the two units, creating increasingly in-depth cooperation activities, achieving many practical results."

According to Mr. Tran Trong Dung, in addition to the journalism award for writing about the rubber industry, the Vietnam Journalists Association plans to open a journalism award for writing about the Central Highlands, promoting communication about socio-economic issues, thereby spreading information about the Party and State's policies for the Central Highlands region.

Thanking the companionship, support and sharing of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, and media agencies, Mr. Tran Cong Kha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VRG shared that during its operation, VRG is considered one of the pioneering enterprises with outstanding achievements in implementing the sustainable development strategy, associated with 3 pillars: Economic development - Responsibility to the community and society - Environmental protection . This is not an easy policy and choice for enterprises, especially when production and business activities have been severely affected by the epidemic and the unfavorable situation of the world economy.
Mr. Tran Cong Kha said that according to the restructuring plan approved by the Prime Minister, in order to effectively carry out the tasks assigned by the Government to VRG through the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the goal of developing key areas of operation by 2025, the group's consolidated revenue is VND 161,730 billion (an average of about VND 32,300 billion/year), consolidated profit before tax is VND 34,435 billion (an average of about VND 6,870 billion/year).
