On October 8, the Party Executive Committee of Quang Yen Town held the 32nd Conference, term 2020-2025. Comrade Vu Van Dien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended and directed the conference.
In the first 9 months of 2024, the ideological situation of cadres, party members and people in the area was stable; preparations for organizing party congresses at all levels towards the 22nd Town Party Congress, term 2025-2030, to realize the goal of building Quang Yen town into a city by 2025 were focused on direction and implementation. The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system had many innovations; the dissemination and propaganda of the Party's resolutions, directives and conclusions were carried out promptly; mass mobilization work in the political system was strengthened...
The province's working theme for 2024 "Improving the quality of economic growth; developing culture and people rich in Quang Ninh identity" was focused on and achieved positive results. The socio-economy developed, the production value increased by nearly 24% (exceeding the annual target by nearly 5%). The total state budget revenue in the area reached over 1,054 billion VND, reaching over 83% of the provincial estimate, equal to nearly 83% of the town's estimate, up more than 3% over the same period . In the first 9 months of 2024, industrial parks in the town had 19 new investment projects, with registered capital of nearly 946 million USD and over 990 billion VND. The town has reduced 262/343 near-poor households. Local defense and military work is ensured; political security, social order and safety are maintained.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested Quang Yen Town to focus on reviewing and speeding up the implementation of key tasks, especially in budget revenue and expenditure, disbursement of public investment capital, striving to achieve and exceed the 2024 budget revenue estimate assigned by the province at the beginning of the year. Currently, a number of new legal documents have come into effect that are directly related to state management work in localities, so it is necessary to carefully consider in detail so as not to affect the progress of implementing tasks and the settlement of administrative procedures of the people. The town needs to promote the potential and inherent advantages of Quang Yen land, striving to build Quang Yen town into a modern, dynamic land, but with its own unique values.
For the remaining tasks after the storm, Quang Yen town needs to be proactive, review and thoroughly overcome the damage caused by the storm. Particularly for the marine farming project, the town needs to work with departments and branches to share the characteristics of Quang Yen; closely follow the provisions of the law to carry out tasks within the permitted framework. At the same time, promote the spirit of solidarity in implementing tasks to build Hiep Hoa and Tien An communes into wards; complete the targets and criteria for building Quang Yen town into a city by 2025, the nucleus and growth engine of the western region of the province, becoming a smart, modern urban - industrial - service - seaport.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Cao Ngoc Tuan, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, accepted the opinions and directions of the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Although facing difficulties after the storm, Quang Yen Town is determined not to change the goals set for the year. Communes and wards need to review their goals and tasks, especially after the impact of storm 3.
