City Women's Union launches activities to celebrate 70 years of Capital Liberation

On the afternoon of July 11, the Hanoi Women's Union (HWU) held a meeting with Chairmen of districts, towns and affiliated units in the third quarter of 2024; implementing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

In the first 6 months of 2024, Units in the 5 emulation clusters of the Hanoi Women's Union have fully implemented and closely followed the unified content of the emulation registration with the cluster. Some emulation targets have been effectively implemented by the units, achieved and exceeded such as: District-level works and tasks implementing a special emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (reaching 72% of the annual target); building and repairing the Charity Shelters reached 100% of the annual plan; supporting women to start businesses and start businesses (reaching 136% of the annual plan target)...

At the conference, the Chairmen of the Women's Unions of districts, towns and cities discussed and reported on the results of implementing emulation targets and pointed out difficulties in the implementation of some activities; at the same time, they made recommendations and proposed solutions for implementation in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the Women's Unions of districts, towns and affiliated units in recent times and acknowledged: recommendations and proposals to the Association for consideration and finding solutions in the coming time.

Deploying key tasks for the third quarter of 2024, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh stated that the Women's Union at all levels needs to focus on consolidating and improving the quality of activities of grassroots organizations, branches, and women's groups; strengthening the gathering and attraction of members; continuing to innovate the organization of Union activities; paying attention to training and fostering Union officials at all levels in knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of the current period...

In particular, the last 6 months of 2024 is the peak time for implementing projects and tasks in the special emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). Therefore, units need to pay attention to focusing on promoting projects and tasks registered in this peak emulation campaign. Focus resources on implementing traditional education and propaganda activities, towards the Capital Women's Green Creative Startup Festival, the Hanoi Connecting and Reaching Out program, the Capital Women's Health and Beauty Contest, etc.

Activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, in conjunction with the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20, will be organized in a variety of forms, ensuring solemnity, economy, efficiency, practicality, focus, and relevance to the reality of the city and localities; creating a broad political movement at all levels of the Union, attracting a large number of cadres, members, and women to participate.

The activities include: Commending advanced models, honoring outstanding women of the Capital in 2024; organizing social security activities, handing over and inaugurating 70 Charity Homes; the contest of Flowering Roads and Streets, and murals managed by the Women's Union at all levels in 2024;

Challenge “Check in Hanoi” with Ao Dai; Capital Women’s Forum participating in building a peaceful and creative city; Exchange of advanced typical examples “Capital Women are confident, integrated, and successfully connected”;

Festival "Women in the Capital Start-up Creatively", promoting Hanoi's agricultural products; Folk dance contest "Healthy and Beautiful Women in the Capital 2024"; exchange "Female Entrepreneurs of the Capital - Talent - Elegance" and awarding "Golden Lotus of the Capital" awards, honoring female artisans, skilled workers in craft villages and craft streets of Hanoi; launching "Hanoi Ao Dai Month 2024"; Ao Dai Carnival "Women in the Capital Integrate and Develop", folk dance performances in Ao Dai in 579 communes, wards and towns with a record of 70,000 participants; advising and proposing the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to visit and present gifts to the heroic Vietnamese Mothers of the Capital...
