The authorities of Dong Nam commune, Dong Son district, Thanh Hoa province coordinated with the Thanh Hoa province Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and their families to organize a memorial service and burial of martyrs Le Viet Hao and Ung Van Le at the local martyrs' cemetery.
Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Tran Tan Hung, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, Colonel Hoang Van Hanh, President of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Thanh Hoa province; representatives of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of the South; Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc province; local authorities, people and relatives of the two martyrs.

Martyr Ung Van Le (born in 1963) and martyr Le Viet Hao (born in 1961), both from Dong Nam commune, Dong Son district, Thanh Hoa province. The two martyrs enlisted in April 1981, belonging to Battalion 3, Regiment 201, Division 302, Front 479.
Martyr Le Viet Hao, Platoon Leader, died on February 27, 1984 in Phum Ang Ko Chum, Siem Reap, Cambodia.

40 years after their sacrifice, their remains still lie at the Hill 82 Martyrs Cemetery, Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province. After a period of searching and collecting information, with the coordination and assistance of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa and Tay Ninh provinces, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has advised and helped the families of the two martyrs prepare the necessary procedures and documents to exhume and send them back to their hometown.
According to Mr. Hoang Van Hanh, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Thanh Hoa Province, this is the 5th martyr of the locality to be brought back to his hometown by rail from the South under a joint program between the Vietnam Railway Corporation and the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Vietnam.
The process of supporting relatives to bring the remains of the two martyrs back to their hometown was carried out thoughtfully and wholeheartedly by the railway transport unit, demonstrating the ethics of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude".
Phase 1 of this program will continue until December 31.
Representatives of the families of the two martyrs expressed their gratitude for the attention of the Party and the State. Especially the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has given to the families of the martyrs.
